Today we are honored to have Zordiak, the Founder of Pepecoin, and DJ, the Listing Manager of Pepecoin with us. 

So before we start the AMA, let's ask Zordiak and DJ to briefly introduce themselves.

Zordiak: Hello everyone, my name is David aka Zordiac. I'm the founder of Pepecoin. We created Pepecoin and released it on January 30th this year and I'm glad to be here today.

DJ: Ni hao everyone. I'm DJ, also known as Dan. I'm the Exchange Listing Manager for Pepecoin. Pleased to meet you all and hope we can answer some of your questions today.

Q&A

The first question is basic. Can you please tell us, how can normal users mine Pepecoin? What’s the mining process like, and do you have any advice for beginners?

Zordiak: Yeah, so if you want to mine Pepecoin, first of all Pepecoin belongs to the script family of coins. And so script, Litecoin is a script coin, Dogecoin is a script coin. 

And if you want to mine script coins like Pepecoins, you need to have what's called an ASIC miner. An ASIC miner is a computer that's specially designed to mine a specific algorithm. 

And so one of the nice things about Pepecoin is that it supports this feature called Merge Mining. And with Merge Mining, you can mine multiple coins at once. So if you want to mine Pepecoin what you'll need to do is you'll need to purchase one of these specially designed machines. 

They're called Script ASIC Miners. And what you want to do is once you've purchased one of those, you'll go to our website, pepecoin.org. And at the top of the page, you'll see a link that says pools. 

If you click on that, that'll take you to a page of mining pools for Pepecoin. And then what you want to do is just click on one of those pools and sign up for an account. 

And then you'll just follow the instructions on those mining pools to set your ASIC miner up and then you'll begin mining Pepecoin. So it's fairly straightforward. 

And if anyone has any questions or needs help setting their miner up, they can join our Discord or join our subreddit and we'll be happy to help them.

DJ: Just to say as well guys, today is our halving day. 

When we get to block 300,000, we will go from 125,000 coins per block to 62,500. So that's 180 million coins per day into circulation at current which will go down to 90 million per day. 

So just to add that for you.

We see that both Pepecoin’s official desktop wallet and Komodo wallet can manage tokens, can you explain the differences?

Zordiak: Yeah, so Pepecoin Core is the official desktop wallet software for Pepecoin. 

And it's important to remember that Pepecoin is a coin, it's a blockchain. And so Pepecoin Core actually has two purposes. One is to be a wallet so you can store your coins in it. 

But the other thing that Pepecoin Core does is a node on the Pepecoin network. While you're running that, you are participating and helping; you're actually a part of the network. 

And so it's important that we have Pepecoin core nodes running. But it's really more suited for advanced users. And for a better user experience, we actually do recommend using Komodo Wallet. Komodo Wallet is really easy to use. 

You can store multiple cryptocurrencies in it, not just Pepecoin. It also includes Bitcoin, Litecoin and Dogecoin. And then the other thing is that Komodo supports seed phrases. 

So you can get a nice seed phrase that you can write down on a piece of paper and that's your funds and you don't have to worry about it. 

You can just put it in a safe. And so yeah, we recommend Komodo for just ease of use. 

And then for more advanced users and to support the network, we recommend Pepecoin Core. 

So that's the basic difference between them.

What role does Pepecoin play in the community? How does Pepecoin drive community growth and engagement?

Zordiak: Yeah, so as far as the community goes, with Pepecoin, basically what we want to do is we want to foster a really friendly and inviting community for people to join and just have a good time. 

We have 12,000 people in our subreddit. And we also have nearly 5,000 people in Discord. 

And we have really, really big goals when it comes to community. I actually came from the Dogecoin community. 

So back in 2013, I actually got into cryptocurrency and I joined the Dogecoin community. And it was great. I loved it. And really, over time, we've seen the cryptocurrency landscape kind of change and be not so friendly and a little bit more dangerous. 

But really what we want to do with Pepecoin is we want to bring that experience of the early Dogecoin community back. And just create a safe environment for people to come and really learn about the roots of cryptocurrency. It has a place kind of like a safe haven where they can enjoy, have fun, learn a little bit about where cryptocurrency started with classic blockchains and just to have a great time meeting people and just have a good time. One of the other things that we'd really like to do is we we want to combine all the Pepecryptocurrency communities together.Our vision is not to just have you know the the Pepecoin,but to have a massive community and we want to do that by just being friendly and just having an amazing community.

DJ: To add to that,we want to create one as well. As the zodiac said about the safe place is that we're so fed up of seeing pumps and dumps existing out in the crypto universe, we want a real coin where people could come look after each other. Take care of each other. The team is in the same boat as everyone else. There was no pre-mine here. 

So, that means we have no more coins than any one of you. What we mine, and what we buy is, what we get the same as you. We're all in the same boat together and that's something that was really important to us. We're always going to be there to engage with our community, whether it's six months down the road or a year's time. 

We're always going to be there, to help, to assist and to guide people. To do the right things and get the right education in crypto because there are too many scammers out there. There are too many bad people. We want to end and call out the pumps and dumps and we want to give the people a real coin that they can compare. 

But one real truthful fact about our whole team is,not one of us in this team is paid. We sincerely work for the Pepecoin community,making the crypto good and where it needs to be. 

So, I just want to add that.

What are Pepecoin’s plans for future technological upgrades? Are there any new features or protocol upgrades planned to enhance user experience and security?

Zordiak: Yeah, so Pepecoin is really hyper focused on being a currency, like Bitcoin, like Litecoin, and it does that extremely well. 

The fees for Pepecoin are extremely cheap. It's fast. Transactions only take a few minutes to confirm. it's the best option for a Pepecryptocurrency in terms of being an actual currency and being used as money. Our goals as a team are basically completely focused around adoption and right now we have some kind of infrastructure goals so we have mining pool listings that we're trying to get done; we have exchange listings that we're trying to get. And thank you guys by the way for listing us but basically we would like Pepecoin to be a currency accepted in stores andshops online. 

We'd like to see Pepecoin accepted in coffee shops and just as many places as we can. We would love to see adoption maybe even in video games. Our focus is on adoption more than the technological upgrades.

DJ: Yeah, also massive. Thank you to BIT Exchange for listing and having the belief in us in an early stage. Bear in mind, we're only launched on January 30th this year. 

So yeah, it's massive. Thank you on behalf of our team for doing so. More things to come. We are building. We're building the blocks from the bottom up. So The Foundations are being laid.

What is the future direction and goal for Pepecoin? For example, any plans for partnerships with other platforms or projects? 

DJ: We'll never say no. 

There's always a good possibility that we will go into partnerships with people. ike yournd  omodo. 

And we want to expand on that and improve our ways of working so we improve everyone's crypto experience. I think it's important to look after each other. 

We will always be loyal to our community as well as the people that work alongside us. And whether they're wallets or exchanges. So yeah, thank you very much.
